HEROS Charity opens its doors during National Racehorse Week
National Racehorse Week is a week-long celebration of the Racehorse and HEROS Charity, Oxfordshire are delighted to open their doors to the public on Wednesday 13th September from 11am – 2pm.
HEROS specialises in re-training and rehoming ex-racehorses as well as being an Education Centre for Special Educational Needs students.
The HEROS open day gives members of the public the opportunity to come to HEROS’ beautiful setting to see and learn about the essential and inspiring work they do for horses and students alike.
Highlights of the day include the chance to meet HEROS wonderful horses, talks from HEROS CEO and Founder, Grace Muir and prolific Derby winning retired jockey John Reid putting a young jockey through their paces in a jockey coaching demonstration. There will be dressage demonstrations to music on ex-racehorses, farrier demonstrations, equine physiotherapy demonstrations and talks about horse feed and nutrition from world renowned feed company Connolly’s Red Mills.
Refreshments including light lunch options will be available from locally based Running Fox Event Catering.
